City Recruiting Budget Committee Members
The City of Damascus is recruiting for two citizen positions on the Budget Committee. The term of the two open positions begins July 1, 2013, and expires on June 30, 2016. The primary responsibility of the Budget Committee is to review and approve the proposed budget each fiscal year. Citizens interested in serving may complete an application form. Deadline for submission is June 14, 2013. Committee For Citizen Involvement Recruitment
Five seats on the Committee for Citizen Involvement (CCI) will become open on July 1, 2013. The Mayor, with City Council approval, will appoint individuals to the open positions. Terms are two years and will expire June 30, 2015. The City of Damascus Committee for Citizen Involvement is responsible for overseeing the City’s citizen involvement processes and offering recommendations to the City Council on new and innovative ways to involve citizens in decision making processes. The CCI is a nine member body that generally meets the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Citizens interested in volunteering to serve may apply by filling out the committee application form. Hard copies are available at City Hall, located at 19920 SE Highway 212. The application deadline is June 23, 2013. For more information contact Nathan Koetje or call 503-658-8545.
